Mini Sessions In The Garden
In Memphis, outdoor sessions can have a really stale feeling due to the lack of pretty landscapes and green spaces. We don’t have beautiful rolling hills or beautiful prairie land. We have to be creative. After a number of years of shooting in our large public park I wanted something new. Enter Hedge Farm in Red Banks MS. I had shot a wedding at this venue in 2020 and remembered the beautiful garden, with its greens, florals, and the beautiful brick pavers, It was just what I wanted. Done, I booked the venue and started planning my minis!
I was blessed this year to be able to do family sessions with so many of my beautiful close friends and their families. The Morrisons, The Shadrach’s, The Bouldien’s, & The Wright’s are just a few you’ll see featured here. It is somthing special to be trusted with such special memories for my friends.
These Mini’s went so well that I am actually looking forward to next year and MAYBE even spring sessions!

The Shad’s brought such a fun energy to the garden during their mini session. We laughed a lot and really enjoyed the time capturing their family just being themselves together.
Just gathering photos for this post is making me smile! I love these families and love how their photos turned out!
Now the Wright’s. This ended up being a model session for me to use the images on social media and for marketing purposes but we loved the photos so much they ended up being used for Daniel and Danielle’s Christmas card.
I can’t wait for fall 2024 to see how these families have grown!
