In-Home Family Session Memphis, TN
Home is my safe place. It is where I put my hair up in a messy bun and throw on my comfiest pants. Home is where I can be who I was created to be, Mom, Wife, Chef, Artist, Counselor, Teacher, and more. Home is where my people are; My husband who helps me be the woman I should be, My kids who teach me daily that I need Jesus :) Home is where my heart truly resides.
One day recently, I decided I wanted to pursue in-home sessions instead of doing my work in the studio. I was inspired and was drawn to capture life as it truly is in the homes and loves of my precious clients. I love the idea of helping them preserve a moment and capture a memory. I reached out to a fellow photographer and friend to help me figure out how to achieve this goal for each family at each session. Kyle and I decided to do a free in-home session give away so that we could walk through an in-home session together and I could glean knowledge in real time. This session, these photos, this is the beginning of something different for me, and I am really excited.
Please enjoy these images of The Jordan Family, at home.
The Jordan home was filled with soft sunlight all around making the scene ideal to photograph. Katie had decorated and designed her home with soft neutral colors and pops of blue that added to the bright and airy aesthetic of the shoot.
Kyle and I wanted to give the family something to do where the whole family could gather and have a fun common task. In this case, a sink bath for baby brother. I was so unsure how this was going to go, but it was fantastic. I will absolutely be doing this again at another shoot!
I looooooved the light in the stairs! I could have shot the whole shoot right there! This shot of big brother resting his head was a real moment. He was worn out and was simply laying on the stairs by his mama. I love it.
This one was just the first of many!
Joyfully,
